Term 2 has been busy for Year 2 with lots of learning focused around ‘The Weather’. Reading fictional and informative books about weather patterns, conducting experiments, recording the daily weather and most excitedly reporting on the daily weather forecast, have been highlights of our learning. If you didn’t make our assembly in Week 5, you missed a ‘behind the scenes’ account from the Year 2 News Network on how the Weather report comes to our screens each day.The assembly then went live around Australia to the daily forecast and was presented by colourful characters such as Tornado Tom, Samantha Sunshine, Emily Frost, Gayle Force and Samuel Snow. Year 2 were highly represented in the Junior Choir Eisteddfod (more than half the class!) and impressed judges with their recital of Mem Fox’s book ‘The Magic Hat’ at the Verse Speaking Eisteddfod on Tuesday.
