Cyclic Inquiry

This year, our school is participating in a Cyclic Inquiry into our current practices. We are looking forward to reflecting on all of the wonderful opportunities that our students have at St Mary’s, and are excited to set new goals for the future. In order for this Inquiry to be successful and authentic, we require feedback from our community.

Over the next two weeks we will be inviting students, teachers and parents to provide feedback on their experience of our school using an online survey.

We would like to invite you to complete the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey. As we value the role of parents and carers within our school community we would greatly appreciate your feedback. The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at St Mary’s Star of the Sea, Milton.

School Bus Travel

Students travelling on a School Bus to and from school are required to have a valid school bus pass for the school service they are catching. If a valid school pass cannot be shown a fare CAN be charged. In the event the school bus pass is lost, some form of student ID is to be shown whilst obtaining a replacement pass (fee applies). You can help make your child’s school bus journey more pleasant by ensuring your child has a valid school bus pass and presents it to the driver in the morning AND afternoon. Parents are reminded that the School Free Travel is only valid between home and school as per the conditions on the back of the pass. Fares will be charged for all other journeys including travel to sport. Skateboards/Scooters/Bicycles are not permitted on the bus.

Annual Consent Requirements

We have recently sent out information via Compass regarding 2024 consent requirements for the following:

1. Consent for the use of Student Image and/or Work

2. Acceptable Use of Technology

These annual requirements and are now available online via Compass Insights.

To access Insights within the Compass app, when you open the app please click on the Show More button (as noted in below image):

This will then show the Insight Cycles that require your attention (as per below image):

This consent is mandatory to enable your child to use technology within our school and have their photograph and/or work published.
