On Monday, our students gathered in prayer and reflection for a Liturgy of the Word, acknowledging the Ascension of the Lord. This marks the moment when Jesus returned to the Father in heaven. Their reverence was evident in the way they participated, listening attentively, responding prayerfully, and embracing the significance of Christ’s promise to always be with us. Through scripture and reflection, they deepened their understanding of this sacred event, recognising it not as a farewell but as a call to live with faith and hope.

As we approach the Feast of Pentecost (Sunday 8 June), we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit, filling the disciples with courage and wisdom to share the Gospel. To bring this celebration into your home, consider this simple activity: light a candle together and reflect on how the Holy Spirit guides and strengthens us in daily life. Invite each family member to share a moment when they felt God’s presence, reminding us that just as the disciples were transformed, we too are called to live in the Spirit’s light. 

We continue to pray for Father Michael as he continues his pilgrimage. Father Michael was privileged enough to be at the Vatican for the recent Inauguration Mass for Pope Leo XIV. We are certain this pilgrimage is both faith and personally fulfilling. We look forward to welcoming him back at the end of August.
