Principal's Report

NL.jpg

Dear Parents and Carers,

Last Sunday, we celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, which highlights the relational nature of God, emphasising unity, love, and communion. It invites us to reflect on the mystery of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three persons in perfect unity and love. In the Gospel readings of this day, we see a divine communion that models for us how to live in love and harmony with one another.

Just as the Trinity exists in perfect unity, we are invited to grow in communion with God and with one another, reflecting this divine love in our relationships. As we reflect on this mystery, we are invited to live out our faith in ways that reflect the love and unity of the Trinity—in our homes, workplaces, and friendships.

As a family, you might like to make the Sign of the Cross together this week and say:

“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

A simple, but powerful prayer that reminds us of the Trinity every day. God invites us into the compassionate embrace of the Trinity, where we are and as we are, so that we can become all that God knows we can be. May the love of the Trinity guide us always to live with kindness, unity, and joy.

StoryFest 2025: A Celebration of Stories and Creativity

StoryFest this week has been a wonderful celebration of literature, storytelling, and creativity, inspiring students to engage deeply with the power of words and imagination. Our students have had the privilege of learning from renowned authors and creators, each bringing unique perspectives and experiences to ignite curiosity and passion for storytelling. We extend our gratitude to Mrs Lisa Collins for organising a talented lineup of visiting authors, presenters, and performances throughout the week and for fostering a love for reading, writing, and creative expression within our school community.

Winter Uniform Reminder

As the cooler months set in, we kindly remind all students and families that the full winter uniform is now required. This includes wearing the appropriate sports uniform on designated days, ensuring consistency and adherence to school guidelines.

Wearing the correct uniform is more than just following a dress code—a uniform fosters school pride,  helps create a respectful learning environment, minimises distractions, and ensures equality among students. It also reinforces responsibility and helps build a sense of belonging within the school community.

If you require support in accessing any uniform items, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the high standard of presentation that reflects our school community.

For detailed information on uniform requirements, please refer to our Uniform Policy, available on our website: Uniform Policy.

Optional Parent-Teacher Meetings

In Week 10, OPTIONAL Parent-Teacher meetings will be held on Monday and Tuesday mornings and afternoons. These meetings are an opportunity to discuss your child’s Semester 1 Report and gain a greater understanding of their progress and areas for continued growth. You are under no obligation to attend; however, your attendance is always welcome. Please visit Compass to make your appointment.

Please continue to check our school calendar or Facebook page for upcoming events. I look forward to seeing you around the school in the coming weeks as we wind up the school term.

Yours in faith and partnership,

Julie Valentini
