What a wonderful time it has been at St Mary's Star of the Sea, Milton! Our students have truly embodied our school's vision: "A supportive community of learners, living Christ’s love through faith in action."

Last week, we gathered as a school community for a special liturgy to celebrate the Feast of St Mary MacKillop. As a proud Josephite School, this day holds deep significance for us. The students' behavior during the service was exemplary, demonstrating a profound sense of reverence and respect. We reflected on St Mary MacKillop's inspiring life and her legacy of courage and faith, which continues to guide our school's values and mission.

Today is the Feast of the Assumption, a special day that reminds us of the importance of Mary in our faith journey. We acknowledge this Holy Day of Obligation with Stage 2 and Stage 3 attending Mass. To celebrate this at home, we encourage families to try a simple activity. Light a candle together and talk about how Mary, our "Star of the Sea," acts as a guiding light, leading us closer to her son, Jesus. This is a beautiful way to live out our faith together and strengthen family bonds.
