Next week we will celebrate the 2025 CBCA Book Week!

Book Costume Walk: On Friday 22 August your child can come to school dressed in a costume that celebrates Reading and Adventure, and what that means to them. Try to send in the book that matches your child’s outfit, and please bring a gold coin donation that will be used to support Indigenous Literacy in remote communities. Please send your child in their joggers for sport later in the day. The Year 6 Library Leadership team will be running a Fact or Fib quiz at our special assembly.

There are prizes to be won, including book vouchers from Harbour Bookshop and movie tickets to see the soon-to-be-released movie The Bad Guys 2, based on the book by Aaron Blabey. We look forward to lots of families joining us for this annual fun filled school event.

Bookmark competition K-6: Design a bookmark based on your favourite adventure
story. A prize for each grade.

Parents read: Parents are invited to visit their child’s class and share a story with your child and their friends after the book week parade.
