BATEMANS BAY CAMPUS DAY PROGRAM OVERVIEW 

Friday the 8th of November 2019 

The University of Wollongong Batemans Bay Campus and the In2Uni team would like to welcome you to the Year 6 Kids In2Uni Day 2019. 

This program is for stage 3 students and aims to start the conversation with students about higher education. It gives students the opportunity to experience university, interact with university students and staff and think about why they might like to consider study beyond school. 

Time Activity Location 10:30am- 10:40am Buses / Guests arrive at UOW 

UOW staff and In2Uni Mentors will greet attendees at the UOW Batemans Bay Carpark. Students will already be arranged in groups by colours. Acknowledgement of country Brief overview of the day & housekeeping. Morning Tea will be provided – Fruit, Muesli Bars and Water.

10:40am – 11:10am Faculty Taster Session One 

In2Uni Mentors will direct students and teachers to their allocated Faculty Taster Session. Students will be introduced to the university subject area and participate in an interactive activity relevant to the field.

11:10am – 11:50am Faculty Taster Session Two 

In2Uni Mentors will direct students and teachers to their allocated Faculty Taster Session. Students will be introduced to the university subject area and participate in an interactive activity relevant to the field.

11:50am – 12:20pm Lunch 

Students to bring their own lunch Lunch will be provided for teachers.

12:20pm-12:50pm Faculty Taster Session Three

In2Uni Mentors will direct students and teachers to their allocated Faculty Taster Session. Students will be introduced to the university subject area and participate in an interactive activity relevant to the field.

1:20pm – 1:30pm Closure 

Post-Surveys – 10 minutes allocated to fill out post surveys. Wrap up and farewell Buses/Students Depart In2Uni Staff and Mentors will direct attendees to bus pick-up carpark location.
