Last Thursday a team of 21 students travelled to Corrimal Pool in Wollongong for the South Coast Regional Swimming Carnival. The weather was atrocious with constant rain throughout the day. However, this did not dampen the spirits of our amazing team of swimmers. I was very proud of all our competitors for their positive attitude, their team spirit and determination. All competitors achieved at least one PB (personal best time) with a special mention to Henry K who beat his PB by 21 seconds! Our Girls Junior Relay team (Rosie H, Audrey S, Frankie N and Abby L) placed 3rd and have qualified to compete again next Monday at the Wollongong Swimming Carnival. Congratulations also goes to  Zara C who got 3rd place for 50m Backstroke and 4th place for 50m Breastroke and Butterfly. Finally, congratulations to Eden S who placed 4th in the 50m backstroke. Both girls will be joining the relay team at the Wollongong carnival next Monday and we wish them all the best of luck. 

The school swimming team has been training hard over the past couple of months in preparation for this carnival. Many students have enthusiastically participated in weekly before school swimming sessions. A very special thank you to the parents for organising the training.
