Stage 3 STEM lessons

Each Wednesday, for the whole second session, the Year 5 and 6 students have been taking place in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) lesson. They are learning about circuits with Mrs Reid and their teachers. They made shelters last term to insulate an ice cube and now they are improving their shelters with a light or door bell or other kind of technology dependent on a circuit. Year 1 and Year 6 Buddy Time

On Friday Year 6 came up to Year 1 and together we read Stick Man by Julie Donaldson. We re-created our favourite part by using an app Draw and Make. Next the year 1 students wrote about their favourite part and drew a picture. Year 6 were extremely helpful and responsible while assisting their buddies.
